CRS Conference Welcomes HPT!
Four HPT proponents had a blast at the Creation Research Society Conference at Pensacola Christian College! Pastor Kevin Lea, Bill Wells, Matthew Welborn, and Brian Lauer were welcomed and treated with respect (see pic below). CRS invited members to share what they were doing, so Brian submitted a brochure which was included in everyone's packet. CRS also allowed a free flow of ideas and the 9th edition was promoted.
Bill spoke once and Brian spoke twice at the Geology Workshop. Here is Pastor Lea's perspective of the CRS Conference. Brian also spoke at the open mic session where people could throw plastic tomatoes: Grand Canyon Call to Action! It was so much fun!
Hopefully we can do the same thing at the Wonders of Creation Conference in Dickson, TN, June 23-25, 2027. The Wonders Center and Creation Museum may be the best creation museum I've seen, and it should be on everyone's bucket list. Hope to see you there, so the HPT avalanche of truth continues.
Brian also met 30 PCC students who wanted to start a creation club that could invite the community to hear a creation speaker the night before he speaks at PCC's chapel. The church pastor, PCC president, and origin's professor were all in favor of having this creation outreach. PCC should be a beacon of creation light for the Gulf area every month or two.
One of the highlights of the conference was Dr. Tim Clarey’s presentation of his paper on the global sedimentary layering. He spent 13 years accumulating and studying thousands of core samples from all the continents. He was able to document that although there may be a missing layer or two on one continent compared to another, the actual sequences of the layers are the same, all testifying to a global rapid flooding of the entire earth. During the Q&A, Dr. Clarey was asked where all the sediments came from. Sadly, because he is not yet equipped with the only (HPT) answer to this extremely important question, he responded that he did not know. But since his 13-year efforts have again proven that all scientists work for Walt Brown, we are hoping that he will someday embrace the theory that his work supports.
As a final shout-out, all HPT advocates should be very thankful that Randy Galiuzza, president of ICR (Institute for Creation Research), has decided that ICR will be carrying the 9th edition in their headquarters museum library. Dr. Galiuzza gave a lecture at the CRS conference on Continuous Environmental Tracking. Experiments at ICR have made important breakthroughs in showing how miraculously God created live with engineered adaptability, replacing the false notion that chance mutations brings about changes in species.
RAQ's (Recently Asked Questions)
In this section we will answer some questions that people have asked.
Q#1: Long agers claim that they can accurately measure the seafloor spreading that is happening along the Mid Ocean Ridge in the Atlantic. Is this a real problem for HPT?
A: No, for two reasons.
1.The apparent drifting apart of the continents could be the very tag end of the Compression Event where the continents slid very quickly. They have basically stopped moving but perhaps there is just a extremely small bit of motion still happening. The Compression Event was not very long ago (for a geological age, compared to the theories of old earthers) so it is within possibility that this is what is happening.
2. The apparent drifting could be due to over confidence in our ability to measure extremely small movements (just a few centimeter per year). They use transponders planted at various points on the ocean floor to make these measurements. Here are some things to consider when you hear that the Atlantic Ocean is getting wider:
1) After a few years, seafloor transponders sink or tilt slightly into soft mud.
2) Deep sea currents also cause transponders to tilt over.
3) Seafloor transponders deteriorate quickly. After a few years, they have weak batteries, and inaccurate atomic clocks.
4) Transponders are expensive. Many are not replaced.
5) Seafloor transponders send sound waves up to the wave gliders (boats). As the sound waves travel up thru the ocean, their speed depends on water temperature, density, pressure, and salt concentration. Therefore, changes in the water column bend or refract the sound waves. The bending or refraction of underwater sound waves distorts measurements.
6) As the wave gliders (boats) send and receive signals, they must remain in one spot. Otherwise, measurements will be inaccurate. However, wave gliders do not remain in one spot. They are in constant motion, due to ocean waves, currents, and winds.
7) Calculations must be done to determine the precise location of a seafloor transponder, in relation to the GPS-satellite coordinate system. The above calculations are complicated and prone to error.
